The Underground Battle is a very pivotal event in Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden. It is one of the most crucial twists that happened during the journey of the Genbu Warriors and has triggered the summoning of Genbu.

Plot[]

Problems[]

Teg, the other half of Hagas, was arrested by the order of Tegiru Rowun and thus separated from his twin brother at a very young age. He has been imprisoned underground the Hokkan palace for more than a decade and a half, and he protected Hokkan from all sorts of calamities after being bribed about a reunion with Hagas. Teg was also assigned to protect the scroll.

Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden[]

The Genbu Warriors managed to sneak in the underground. However, they soon find themselves in the pursuit of Shigi and Hien once again. Both parties fight, with Teg still catatonic.

Maneuver and Hagas' death[]

Hagas arrives in the underground and reunites with Teg. The twins are overjoyed to be reunited with each other, but Hagas' life didn't last long. After he reveals that he is inflicted with King Temudan's disease, he tells Teg to surrender the scroll and fulfill his warrior duties for him. Hagas also tells everyone that for Genbu to be summoned, one of the two Urumiya warriors would suffice. Teg, traumatized after seeing his brother die when they just met, absorbs the memories that Hagas "transferred" to him. Convinced enough that the warriors weren't there to harm him, and shaken after Hagas' will is entrusted to him, finally agrees to give the scroll. He also accepts his duties as a Genbu warrior and formally apologizes for the way he treated the priestess and her warriors.
